winemaker's note
This wine achieves the difficult balance of providing a wonderfully complex Chardonnay drinking experience without sacrificing fruit freshness and vitality. As a result, this expertly made wine will be just as rewarding to lay down as its red counterparts. It will very slowly develop more subtle complexities and character for years to come whilst ensuring fruit and hence regional character is the focal point of the Redbrook Reserve style.

Brilliant clarity. Pale to mid straw with a youthful green rim.

Citrus, and lifted stone fruit aromas drives the nose of the wine with delicate savoury aromas of dried herbs, malt, shortbread, and oyster shell from wild fermentation and maturation on yeast lees in large format French oak barrels.

Delicate, but long and complex. citrus, pear, rock melon, honeydew and nectarine and fruits overlayed with subtle dried herbs, toasted spice, malt and tropical fruit notes. Layers of complexity will develop beautifully over time.
