Our chenin blend is one of the more delicate wines released under this label, a reflection of the unusually cool ripening period experienced in the Margret River region this year.

An intensely fruity, the aroma shows light vibrant and refreshing wine, herbaceousness, citrus peel and lighter tropical fruit.On the palate, Johnathon apple flavours along with passionfruit and citrus lead to a zingy fresh finish.

The blend is made with a majority of chenin blanc; the variety whose grassy flavours, fruitness and crisp acid were the inspiration for the style. As in the past the herbaceous flavour of early picked sauvignon blanc and the tropical fruitiness of riper versions have been used tp compliment the chenin blanc beautifully.

Our production techniques are to employ quick and gentle juice extraction methods, followed by cool, controlled fermentation and early bottling so as to retain the freshness of the wine.

Released each year in July, Chenin is a wine designed to be enjoyed for its youthful vitality. Is the perfect choice as an aperitif accompaniment to lighter meals such  as chicken and fish, and to those dishes of spicier flavour. Its freshness and moderate alcohol content make it an ideal wine for luncheon or alfresco dining.
