Located in the northern part of Margaret River, where ocean breezes create a unique climate, Amberley produces wines with elegant flavours, structure and balance.
Blend: 80% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc
Brilliant and bright, the wine is pale straw in colour with green tinges. Highly aromatic, the nose displays the classic characteristics of cut grass, lime leaf and lemongrass. The palate bursts with crisp and lively flavours of granny smith apples, kiwifruit and lime zest. Refreshing acidity is complemented by fruit sweetness to provide a palate of good length. Enjoy with salt and pepper squid or your favourite blue cheese.
Premium parcels of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc were selected from our vineyards in Margaret River and machine harvested in the cool of night to maximise fruit freshness. Gentle handling in the winery ensured the bright, vibrant fruit flavours were retained. The juice was racked and fermented at cool temperatures of 13 and 16 degrees celcius in 100% stainless steel tanks. Following the completion of fermentation, the individual parcels were matured on lees for approximately 2 months enabling the development of additional texture and complexity. The wine was then blended, fined and bottled in August.
